"At the request of the “Foundation Abbey, Town and Region” and the Town of Sint-Truiden, a special abbey beer was brewed on the occasion of the first open abbey days in 2002.
What makes Adelardus Double so special, is the use of so-called ‘gruut’. This is a mixture of about 10 different indigenous herbs.
Adelardus Double is a dark brown high fermentation beer, that is unfiltered, unpasteurized with a secondary fermentation in the bottle."
